Squantz Pond, June 2008

“What is one to say about June, the time of perfect young summer, the fulfillment of the promise of the earlier months, and with as yet no sign to remind one that its fresh young beauty will ever fade.” — Gertrude Jekyll

    I JUST LOVE THAT VIEW!
I love driving to work early in the morning and catching the sun rise over Candlewood and see the seasons changing on Squantz. Of course those views cost me about $8.50 a look each day and going up probably as we speak.
There has been much talk lately about how much more money other countries have to pay for gas. You mentioned it too Juventus not too long ago. How do they afford it? Check out The Oil Drum. Of course, Venezuela is only paying 12 cents a gallon! I know some discourage use by putting large taxes on the gas and have much better mass transit. Well, time to dust off the bicycle.

  2. I don’t supose thats any relation to Heckle and Jeckle>
