MSNBC’s Chris Matthews helps a rabid Kevin James understand what the word appeasement means.
Matthews eventually pointed out the difference between talking with your enemy and appeasing him. Talk does not have to be weak; that’s why there’s a phrase like playing hardball.

Well putting up vids is , at least for now, the way to increase your hits, but must it be vids of one moron talking to another? What has happened to your disgust with Red versus blue states?
Totally agree JumpinGeehossifat, becoming way to commercial for my taste. It feels almost disingenuous and too contrived to believe the articles. As for the red and blue states part, I don’t believe it’s a true disgust.
I really prefer your past articles, at least they seemed more sincere. At least I hope they were. Peace.
Juve, I think Paul is disgusted with the fact taht people talk dogmatically past each other instead of practically towards each other, which, as a creator/editor, puts hi in a dman tough spot…its hard to be Obama on the net! I personally enjoy some vid content and I do believe it drives hits, and hits are good things!
Well JumpinGeehossifat, I personally think that the creator/editor gets a little tickled when Dems get a little smacked around. This last week the Republicans have literally been foaming at the mouth like rabid chawawas over Obama. Between Bush claiming Obama would “attack Pakistan” and “embrace” Iran’s president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
Mike Huckabee and: “That was Barack Obama, he just tripped off a chair and someone pointed a gun at him and he dove for the floor.”
McCain and: “I think it’s very clear who Hamas wants to be the next president of the United States. I think people should understand that I would be Hamas’ worst nightmare. If Senator Obama is favored by Hamas, I think people can make judgments accordingly.”
Well now lets put a tiny winy vid of Mr James aka red raccoon on crack up (and that’s the editors prerogative) If Hilary is seen again on this blog I hope she has a oil pump between her (fill in blank) and is screaming “Peak Oil its here, see I know more than Bush”
Lets be fair to both sides. Can donkeys and elephants just get along??
Off Topic, good news I think:Spanish power company Iberdrola, the world’s largest renewable energy operator, said Sunday it plans to invest eight billion dollars (5.1 billion euros) in the United States between 2008 and 2010.
The Bilbao-based firm is aiming to have a 15 percent share of the wind power market in the US by 2010, it added in a statement.
It had a wind power production capacity of 2,400 megawatts in the US at the end of March and it expects to reach 3,600 megawatts by the end of the year, the statement added.
Iberdrola chairman Ignacio Sanchez Galan has said he considers the US as the company’s most exciting growth market.
The US, which uses roughly one-quarter of the world’s crude oil, is seen as a promising market for renewable energy sources as concerns over climate change and the rising price of oil boost demand for alternatives to fossil fuels.
Iberdrola posted a first-quarter net profit of 1.2 billion euros, up from 458 million euros over the corresponding period the previous year, due mostly to its purchase of Scottish Power.
Peace out.
Pardon me for jumping in! I’m enjoying this discussion.
As I said from the very beginning, the two best candidates (in terms of what America needs right now) are Barack Obama representing the Democrats, and John McCain representing the Republicans. Neither one is perfect.
Of course, I would have preferred the John McCain from 2000 rather than the one we have now, and so he is even less perfect than I would like. But still, he’s the best possible candidate the Republicans can put forth.
What the country needs is a clean fight between two strong parties. That is not guaranteed, especially since the Republicans are rather weak right now, and desperate. And the Democrats are looking forward to the beating that they can inflict on Republicans this fall and going forward. Democrats should consider very carefully how they want to approach this. Sure, there will be right-wing attacks that will be inappropriate and foul. But Democrats must not stoop to the same level. I am saying this as a Republican who is ashamed of the way his party behaves. I believe Obama can win in November without this, and that will eventually result in a Republican party that has to re-evaluate the way it approaches these contests.
What this country needs, if we are stuck with a two-party system, is two strong parties that fight fair. In all likelihood the Democrats are going to win overwhelming majorities in the House and Senate, as well as the White House. You can look at what happened when the Republicans had a Republican president, and control of the House and Senate, and follow that path, or you can do what’s right by the country.
Let the healing begin.
I am leaning heavily towards Obama. At this point, the only thing he can do to lose my vote is to select Hillary Clinton as his running mate.
By the way, in listening to Obama’s foreign policy plans, he does talk tough about Pakistan. One of the reasons he wants out of Iraq is so he can commit an appropriate force to Afghanistan and Pakistan. When you look at the terrorist threat and where it’s coming from, that makes sense.
Ohh come now your just being nice because The METS WON AGAIN…….”Oy vey”
I’m off to eat humble pie and dream of an Obama – Edward ticket.
Peace and love peoples.
